I don't like milk. How can I get enough calcium?

Question by Tien Han

Dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt) are not the only good sources of calcium. The Vietnamese traditional diet includes other good sources like green leafy vegetables, fish (small fish eaten with their spines are especially good), sesame seeds and beans (đậu). Eating a lot of fat, animal products, salt and coffee/black tea takes calcium from your body. You will be ok if eat green vegetables with every meal and don't drink a lot of coffe or eat a lot of meat or salt. A lot of sauces, like fish sauce and chilli (ớt) have a lot of salt, so only use a little.

Also daily exercise (such as running, walking, karate, football, volleyball) is important to make your bones strong!
